This showcase features works created and performed by students from Orange County School of the Arts' Classical Voice and Popular Music Conservatories. This is the culmination of the students workshopping and delving into the creative process with Festival Artistic Director Davóne Tines over several months.
The CSMusic High School Showcase Ensemble is a self-led student initiative organized by OCSA students, Jeffrey Yang, Viveka Saravanan and Hugo Nguyen. Together with Dr. Ryan Reithmeier, Director of OCSA’s Classical Voice Conservatory, these students have conceived an original pastiche production, utilizing music from opera, American art song, and popular songs to tell a story of a woman’s journey through a failed marriage and into a greater understanding of herself through the process. The cast who will help present this production is made up of OCSA students.
